on the buses

I have recently become reacquainted with the delight that is the British public transport system. I have been taking the bus to work. Some improvements have been made since I was last here. There are now signs at most stops that tell you when the next buses are going to arrive. Unfortunately most of those buses get lost in the Bermuda Triangle that apparently exists in the centre of Cambridge, and never show up.

I saw a sweet little boy on the bus who stood at the front pulling Michael Jackson moves while his mum was buying a ticket. It got me thinking, why do we all become so inhibited when we grow up? I mean if I did that people would think I was crazy. I guess it would be a bit chaotic if everyone on the bus was pulling Michael Jackson moves. Chaotic, maybe, but more fun.

So true... frankly I am not so inhibited in my old age as I should be... I have been known to pull the odd Michael Jackson move in Bonus... just to get through the whole traumatic event! The British transport system is quite the marvel... how they manage to be late every single time does in fact take skill. Ever been to Switzerland... they are so punctual there, that if you're 30 seconds late you can wave goodbye to your ride!! It's a little eerie actually!! ;-)
